A month from tomorrow is my due date, so I think the betting as to when she'll arrive can begin. I personally think it will be Sunday July 6th-but that's only because it would be the most inconvenient day for us for the next month (Jeremy has 24-hour staff duty that day), and it just seems like that would be a fitting way for her to make her arrival-with extra drama! I'll keep track of what everyone thinks and let you know who the big winner is, so get your guesses in early. Just a warning, if you guess I'm going to go late and you're right, you are in BIG trouble!!!
I've been feeling much better the last few days, and it has been so nice!!!! I think a lot of it has to do with upping my thyroid medicine (according to my doctor it's the most abused prescription medication by women physicians because it gives you more energy and in turn helps you lose weight). But, over the weekend I managed to get the whole house cleaned, do a few loads of laundry, finish reading "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (I'd never read it before), and bake 4 dozen banana muffins for Jeremy to share with the guys at work. Plus, it was cool enough in the evenings that I was able to get out and walk again, which just felt wonderful!!!! And, all that without a whole heckuva lot of sleep (the combination of Tank having a seizure Friday and Saturday night and the baby enjoying pushing on my bladder at all hours of the night meant only a few hours of sleep each night).
As for lil' Gherkin: according to babycenter.com: she baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds . Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
I'm going to have to disagree with them a little on this, 'cause she is definitely still doing somersaults! So, she's probably not as big as they're saying, not surprising though 'cause Amy and I were both a couple of pipsqueaks (one of us was 5lbs 11oz and the other was 5lbs 7oz and I don't remember how long we were, but I'm thinking it was around the 17-18" range). Maybe we should also have a pool going as to how big (weight and length) she'll be....
