Mommy's Helper
Kyra had her 2 month check-up today. She weighs 10lbs 7oz and is 23 inches long. She's gained almost 3 pounds and has grown about 3 inches (when her cone head shrunk she was only 20 inches)~she's long and lean~at the 75th%ile for length and 50th%ile for weight. The doctor said she looks great and is, obviously, growing well. He also said he thinks her eyes will stay blue 'cause they're soooo blue now!

a couple pics
She was smiling right up until I snapped the picture...someday I'll capture a smile! I was impressed to get a pic with her hands out of her mouth...lately all she wants to do is chew, chew, chew and her hands are her favorite thing to chew on

why I think Kyra's hair will be curly
Several of you have asked why I think Kyra's hair will be curly...the pictures below will show you why. The first is of her right after her bath last night when her hair was still wet, the second is of it yesterday morning when it was dry. Doesn't it look like it will be curly? It's starting to get longer on top so the natural mohawk she was sporting a few weeks ago is just about gone...

Update on Jeremy...he is still feeling fine today, not even sore. But, he did go to the doctor this morning just to have his back and everything else checked out. They said to come back if he gets sore otherwise everything looks good. The insurance adjuster will be out Friday morning to look at the truck and hopefully we'll have it in to the shop Friday afternoon or Monday morning.

Good Day, Bad Day, All in One Day
This morning Jeremy got a call telling him he could go meet with Transition because everything was "in the system." We now have a timeline for when things will be happening. On October 6th and 8th Jeremy has appointments with the VA doctors; on October 29th and 30th the movers will come to pack us up and move us; and November 4th is when Jeremy will be discharged. So, it'll all be happening pretty fast now.
As he was coming home this afternoon from getting all this arranged, he got into an accident. Fortunately, everyone is ok! A guy in a large delivery truck was merging and somehow or another didn't see Jeremy and his HUGE truck and hit the passenger side. Here are a few pics of the damage:

The side step
The front door (it doesn't look bad, but the window doesn't roll down correctly now)
The front quarter panel (hit hard enough it popped the tire)
The bumper

Update
Jeremy learned this week that he will be getting a medical discharge from the Army because of his back. It's what he was hoping for. We don't yet know his discharge date, but are hoping to know it soon. Now we just have to finalize our moving plans, we'll keep you posted!
While we were in Colorado, we had to have Tank put to sleep. As you all know, Tank's health had been deteriorating over the last several months. It seemed with every seizure he would age. In the last few months his hind legs weren't working too well. He had a difficult time standing up after he had been sitting or sleeping; and he even stopped eating on a regular basis and rarely begged for food (both extremely unusual for Tank). It was time. We all miss him. It is so weird not having his smiling, drooling face in my face shortly before 7 every morning wanting to eat; Jenny has been attached to our hips since we got home-it was sad to see her tear through the house looking for him when we got home.

On a happier note, Kyra is doing well (I'll take and post some pictures tomorrow). She's growing like a little weed~I've started a tub for clothes that don't fit her anymore and there are quite a few things in there already!

home again, home again, jiggety-jig
We made it home last night! Kyra was super in the car, she didn't cry once so even though I was tired of being in the car and felt like crying I didn't allow a 6 week-old to show me up! Once I get us all unpacked I'll update you with more than pictures, but in the meantime enjoy these last few pics from the trip!

lots of pics...
Since we've been in Colorado I've fielded a few complaints about the lack of pictures I've posted, so I'm making up for it with lots of pics today!!! We're going home this weekend so I'll post more than pics at that time ~ lots has happened in these 2 weeks!

in Colorado
Some of the below pics didn't look like they were posting, so they may show up a couple times, but they're cute enough that that's ok!
The top pic is of Kyra with her cousins Windi and McKenna
