update

I don't have any recent pics to post, but I do have a couple Kyra stories...

Kyra is obsessed, and I do mean obsessed, with all bodily by-products (you know, poop, pee, boogers, etc.). So, everywhere we go she looks for poop, most of the time finding bird poop. She always has to see her poop, or her brother's, when I change their diapers. And, I'm not talking about just taking a glance at, she has to thoroughly examine it. I'm constantly reminding her she can look at poop, but she can't touch it. Yesterday morning she came in from outside asking me what was on her fingers, it was bird poop of course. She was excited about her great find, and not thrilled when I insisted upon washing her hands. While I was in the midst of cleaning our kitchen she comes in with her nose all scrunched up and says, "Smell poo-poo!" I of course took off looking for where Hokey had pooped in the house, but I didn't find any. It turns out she just wanted to smell poop, she is particularly fond of the smell of horse poop. She constantly asks me to see my parents' dog or my sister's dog and to see where they poo-poo.
Last night she had a big booger in her nose so I asked if I could get it, she let me and then, as always, asked to see it. I showed her and her response was, "WOW! Bite booger!" Um, no.
This can work to my advantage at times. She's more than willing to throw her brother's dirty diapers away. And, if she's crying the easiest way to get her to stop is to tell her you'll wipe her nose and show her her boogers. That even worked when she fell head first into my parents' 5+ foot deep window well a couple weekends ago.
She also likes "owies" and wants to see them and talks about everyone's owies all the time. Me having a couple cold sores this week has been thrilling for her.
If a toy or crayon gets broken, she's very upset. She talked about a broken crayon and daddy fixing it with tape for over 2 months. I'm just waiting for the day Liam figures out that he can push his sister's buttons by breaking her things. That's when life around here should get REAL interesting!
So, these days my life with Kyra is consumed with finding poop, boogers, and owies and keeping things from getting broken...Maybe she'll be a doctor...or a plumber!
As for Mr. Liam. He's doing fantastic! He's just the happiest little guy around. He just loves to laugh and smile. I laugh because it is much easier to make him laugh than it was Kyra, so he must not have as sophisticated a sense of humor as she does. :)
He's been sleeping through the night for a while now which is wonderful. He does wake-up a bit earlier than I'd like, but is usually content to play in his crib until I'm ready to get him. He's up to eating cereal 3 times a day 'cause formula just was not enough for him. He's growing like a weed. At the doctor last week for his 4 month check-up and shots he weighed in at 13.5lbs and 25.5" long. He has a few 3-6 months clothes that fit, but he's mostly wearing 6-9 months...He's just a big, happy boy! He can almost roll over, wants to sit up, and loves to stand when you hold him.
As for Jeremy and I, we're hanging in there. Jeremy has had some difficult times the last few weeks. I don't want to go into it all here (feel free to email me if you'd like to know more). But, I will say I feel compelled to meet with my local senator, and possibly the media, because the bureaucracy that is the VA is absolutely ridiculous!
