Kyra-isms

I took my camera to my folks' on Mother's Day and didn't bring it home 'til yesterday, so no recent pictures, but I thought I'd share a few Kyra-isms....

Kyra and I are driving through the drive-thru lane at the bank and she wrinkles up her nose and says, "Smell....Smell....Horsey poo-poo, I like it! Yummy, yummy in Kyra's tummy!" (I certainly hope she doesn't think it's yummy, yummy in her tummy!)

Kyra sitting on the couch with her nose all wrinkled up says, "Smell...smell....Hokey poo-poo!" In actuality someone in the house (to remain nameless) had gas and she thought it smelled like the dog.

We read the book "Go, Dog! Go!" a lot around here and one of the lines in it, for those who aren't familiar with it, says "I like it! I like that party hat!" As Kyra and I were out for a walk this week she saw some slides and swings and tells me, "I like it Momma! I like that party hat!"

She has also taken to saying "I wuv you____!" spontaneously, which is very sweet. And, she's also started saying, "I happy see you day _____!" I have no idea where that one came from, but it's also very sweet.

She is also very polite. Any time I ask her to do something she doesn't want to do, her response is usually, "No Tanks!" Unfortunately for her just because you're polite doesn't mean you don't have to have your diaper changed, get dressed, comb your hair, brush your teeth, or take a bath.

When she gets up in the morning she gets out of bed, comes to the top of the stairs (I'm usually downstairs with Liam by then) and says "I awake Mommy!" At naptime and bedtime when she doesn't want to go to sleep she also tells me, "I awake Mommy, I awake!"
