Pretty scenery

Last weekend and into the beginning of the week, the kids and I went to my folks' cabin so I could help my dad paint the interior. We spread about 17 or 18 gallons of paint with a roller and brush in 4 days, and didn't finish. But, what we did get done looks fantastic, if I do say so myself! Since painting doesn't make for good pictures (or at least not attractive pictures of the painter), I thought I'd post a couple shots of when we escaped to the outdoors!

Those are moose. No really. They are. I had to take a picture with my camera and then zoom way in to be able to confirm they were moose, and they are. They are the first moose I've seen in the wild outside of Yellowstone.

Pretty moon rise

Dusk settling in on my favorite view

It snowed on those same peaks from above the day we headed home. I love how they look like they're coated in powder sugar!
