pigtails, sitting up, and choices

Say "cheese!"

My 3 rugrats entertaining each other (Hokey got a haircut this weekend, looks pretty funny, but should be cooler and result in less sticks attached to him)

Sitting up like the big boy he is! Jessie (the cat) LOVES him. It's a bit strange. She didn't care much for Kyra, they have a bit of a love hate relationship to this day. But, she gets in bed with William and always wants to be around him. When Kyra was his size she avoided her like the plague.

I've been having trouble getting Kyra to sleep in her own bed for the last few months. I'm sure it's because of all the turmoil that's been going on in our lives. She just wants to be close to me at all times, especially at night. So, in an attempt to get her back to sleeping in her own bed, I told her she could pick out new sheets and a comforter for her bed. After going to 3 stores and having her adamantly turn down all options I presented, she found this one yesterday and was in LOVE. I tried to convince her that the ones with flowers or stripes or circles were really cute. I even tried to show her how cool the ones with baseballs, footballs, and basketballs was. But, alas, no. The one she really wanted was this one. I am now learning to live with the consequences of giving an almost 2 year-old her choice of bedding :)

In other news, Jeremy's disability decision finally came. Well, the unofficial decision came, but the one with the official seal should be arriving any day. He has received the rating we were hoping for. YEA! We're still trying to figure out all the benefits that it entitles him to, the benefits the kids and I will receive, if he can work and if so how much he can work, and everything else that comes along with it. We're hoping (and we think) it means that we all have health insurance coverage; we think it means the kids' college education will be paid; it possibly means I could go back to school too; we think Jeremy can get college and/or vocational rehab; and we think it means we receive base privileges (like using the commissary, PX, etc). Some MAJOR benefits to say the least!

All in all, I think that bedding is cute! (I still may not let Adelyn pick) :)

So, she's a modern chic perhaps? It's cute! Sort of IKEA-ish. :) Great news too!
