Ignore the testing

I wrote a long post on Sunday, but it wouldn't publish.  I saved it in hopes of being able to publish it at a later date.  That was a negative.  Apparently, I wasn't using the newest version of editor so it wouldn't publish.  Bother!  So, let me attempt to update you again :)

Kyra: Is doing quite well.  She started preschool at the end of August and is absolutely loving it!  She goes two mornings a week for 3 hours and wakes up every morning asking if it's a preschool day.  Also, every night when she goes to bed and we say our prayers she always includes preschool as something she's thankful for (the other night she asked God to help her learn how to do "criss-cross applesauce," it was very cute).  Her vocabulary never ceases to amaze me.  Unfortunately for her, her mouth also gets her into trouble.  But, she's learning to use "nice words with a nice voice" if she doesn't want to spend time in time-out! :)

Liam: Is my little monkey.  In the last month alone he has fallen off the coffee table cubes and bitten through his bottom lip; fallen while climbing into (or maybe out of, hard to tell) and bit his bottom lip very hard; and was climbing on a ladder type shelf and managed to fall and give himself a fat upper lip and a major bloody nose.  Of course, all of these happen while I'm showering or fixing dinner.  I swear I need a video monitor attached to him that I can view at all times!!!!  He's still a sweetie though and has a pretty good vocabulary himself.  Currently, his favorite word is "NO!"  So much fun ;)

Me: I'm working for a local photographer Tues-Fri and doing private tutoring Mon-Weds evenings.  Tuesdays and Wednesdays are really long days, but I love the private tutoring so much I can't see myself giving it up.  We got a new dog about a month or so ago.  Her name is Lucy and she's a black lab mix of some sort.  She's about 5 years old (yea! no going through the puppy stage!), and is very sweet and well-behaved.  Just what we needed!

My folks gave me their old desktop, so it will be much easier to blog from now on.  I had a few issues getting internet access to it (no modem in the room it's in), but now that that's solved, we should be back on a much more regular basis, I've missed my blog! As soon as I figure out how to download pictures, I'll put some up! So, be looking for pics of Kyra's bday, her first day of preschool, kids at the park, Lucy, and our time in Golden, CO riding Thomas!
