It's been awhile since I last posted. I have cute pics to post. I still do not have a new computer. I spilled a large glass of water on my computer last night. It is still running. Barely. I am determined to get a new computer this week. Cute pictures will be posted soon!
In the meantime, a few recent Kyra and Liam tidbits.
Liam is walking. He took his first steps on his birthday (12/23) and has just been walking more and more every day. It's really cute when he walks 'cause he has to have one hand raised straight up in the air. Too cute! He has two teeth on the bottom and one on the top poked through this week (the one next to it doesn't look to be too far behind). He's been saying "Mama" for quite awhile now. I recently learned that's what he calls his Mimi (pacifier)....He also says "ki-ycat" and "gink" (kitty cat and drink) and something I have no idea how to type for cookie. He is still just a sweet and happy little guy. At his 1 year check-up last week, he weighed in at 21.5 lbs and about 29" tall.
Kyra is all about pretend play. I go around most days being one or another character from Thomas and so does she. Her bruddert is always Thomas and Hokey is Diesel (which is funny 'cause Diesel is the "naughty" character and that's just fitting for Hokey). She also just talks and talks and talks. She is nowhere near being potty trained. We've tried a few times and it has ended a few hours later with several accidents and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots (i.e. meltdown city) of tears on her part. So, she's not ready. I don't want her having a meltdown everytime she has an accident. So, we'll wait a little longer and try again. She'll probably be one of those kids that once she decides to pee in the potty she won't have any accidents, but she has to decide first.
Yesterday I asked her if she wanted a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. She said she did. A few minutes later she said, "With cheese please." I thought she meant on the side. But a little bit later she said, "No mussard [mustard] though!" Ewwwww....peanut butter, honey, cheese, and mustard. She got a peanut butter and honey sandwich with cheese on the side.
Hopefully none of the 5 of you who read this will be offended, but it's just too cute and funny not to share....
So, Kyra'd had lots and lots of diarrhea a week or so ago (read: several times in the night and too many times during the day to count). She wasn't sick, no fever, no throwing up, eating normal and all. Just had the runs big time. So, one morning I told her she had to take a bath (normally during the winter bathtime is at night) because her hiney was stinky. I put lots of bubbles in the bath, to insure a good soaking. Then before it was time to get out I asked her to stand-up, "so I can wash your hiney." To which she says, "And my giney!" I about fell over laughing. Never heard that one before. The next day I'm changing Liam's diaper and she comes over and asks what I'm doing. I tell her "I'm cleaning his hiney." To which she says, "And his elephant giney!" Oh my!!!! How I didn't fall off the couch from laughter I'll never know. The things she comes up with!!!!

Andy and I both got a good laugh out of that! We have "the book" in which we write such comments down. I highly recommend doing it! We go back and read it from time to time and laugh...
