We had Kyra's party tonight (it worked out well since Jeremy has Wednesday and Thursday off). It was a great time with family and friends. The only thing missing was our out-of-town/state family and friends. I decided to do cupcakes instead of cake for her because they're so much easier to serve. I also decided to take the easy route and had the guy who made our wedding cake make the cupcakes (so much less stress and so yummy!). Our "theme" was simply bright colors and we made the party easy on ourselves by just doing hamburgers, hotdogs, fruit, veggies, and all the trimmings. It was a lot of fun! Don't the cupcakes look delicious?!?!
Kyra not so sure about everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to her. I think she'd have preferred we sing the "Hokey Pokey" 'cause she just loves to put her arms in and out and shake them all about...it's quite cute!

Her tentativeness didn't last long! On the 2nd bite she put her whole face into it!
