I've been a bad blogger lately. Kyra and I were in Wyoming two weeks ago to visit a friend from college and last week was filled with lots of unexpected events. I have no new pictures to post, but I'll at least give you a little update and promise to post pictures soon!
Jeremy is busy with school and trying to find a job. He's really enjoying his two classes and is doing very well in them. The classes are only 9 weeks long, so they're pretty intense and he has homework just about every day (even on the weekends). But, with them all being done online, it's great 'cause he can do them at a time that is most convenient for him. As for finding a job...that's been tough. The reservoir here is hiring summer workers. He's applied there and is hoping he gets a job with them. Otherwise, he's put in applications all over town, but no one seems to be hiring right now.
Kyra is growing like a little weed. At her 6 month appointment last week she weighed in at 14lbs 10oz (which is the 25th%ile) and was 26.5inches long (which is the 75th%ile). How Jeremy and I got a long baby is beyond me?!?! Her little personality is starting to come out more and more. She's very laid back and easy-going (on the 6-hour car ride to Wyoming she never fussed!!!). She loves her fruits and vegetables. And, she really wants to crawl. She gets up on all fours, rocks, and usually ends up going backward. I'm afraid it won't be long 'til we have a mobile under foot! She's rather chatty, loves to watch the dogs play (and doesn't seem to mind too much when they knock her over, lick her, or anything else), and makes the strangest noises (I thought baby giggles were supposed to be cute??? The only word to describe her "laugh" is squelching.)
As for me, I'm working on losing the rest of the weight I put on while pregnant (such a slow process!). I'm back to tutoring which I am really enjoying! I'd like to add another 3-4hrs a week, but we'll see!!! Otherwise, I'm enjoying watching Kyra grow, trying to keep up with laundry and housework, and thinking about starting a book club (I'd join one if I could find one that meets during the day or on the weekend).
