a Kyra pic
busy, busy, busy
This has been a jam packed week! Here are a few pics (oddly, they're in the reverse order of how I put them in to upload, but you'll still get the idea!). Jeremy was discharged on the 4th and drove up from Oklahoma, our furniture arrived the morning of the 5th, and our friends Liz and Lynn came down with my parents to help us unpack. That evening my parents threw a surprise party for Jeremy at the new house~can you say chaotic?!?!

house and Kyra pics
Last weekend some of my family volunteered to come over to our house to help us get a few things done. They put a few more outlets in the garage, hung a light fixture and curtains in the dining room, mounted the new tv on the wall, cut the grass, and a bunch of other stuff! It's so nice to live so close to family!!!!

And for Halloween....what else would she be but a Lil' Gherkin?!?!?

cute socks!
We've made it to Colorado. We closed on the house on Friday, but Kyra and I are staying with my folks until the furniture arrives. In the meantime, Jeremy's back in Oklahoma to do his out processing and will join us up here on November 5th.
Aren't the socks Kyra's wearing just too cute??? My aunt Pam (Kyra's great aunt) sent them to us and I just think they're adorable! Thanks aunt Pam!

changed my mind
In the post below you'll read that one of the things I'm going to miss about living here is being surrounded by fields. I think I'm going to take that back! I'm doing laundry today so I can pack clean clothes. I just got the first load washed and moved to the dryer when I found a dead mouse in the bottom of the washer. YUCK! I'm now re-washing that load of laundry!
I don't think the mouse was in the washer when I started it, I think the cat killed the mouse and left it in our dirty clothes for us! Either way, I'll be glad when we're living somewhere where we won't have so many unwanted "critters" in the house!
